With the commissioning of a high-performance photovoltaic system on the roof of the company building, Käuferle GmbH & Co. KG is sending out a clear signal in favour of sustainability and energy efficiency. The new system with an output of 200 kilowatts enables the company to produce and directly consume a large proportion of the electricity required during the day.
"For us, sustainability is not a trend, but a responsibility," explains Sebastian Käuferle, Managing Director and shareholder of Käuferle GmbH & Co. KG. "The PV system not only reduces our CO₂ emissions, but also makes us less dependent on external electricity providers - a clear advantage, both ecologically and economically."
As photovoltaic systems only generate electricity during the day, in-house production fits in perfectly with the company's energy requirements: the solar power generated can be used directly for ongoing production during the day. This means that external electricity requirements can be significantly reduced. Any surplus electricity generated at weekends or during periods of low production is of course fed into the public grid - a further contribution to the energy transition.
The switch is an important part of the company-wide sustainability strategy and should help to minimise Käuferle's ecological footprint in the long term. The investment in renewable energies is a further step on the way to a sustainable corporate strategy. Käuferle plans to continue investing in sustainable solutions in the future - not only out of a sense of responsibility towards the environment, but also in the interests of future generations.
Due to defined exceptions in the standards and guidelines, an emergency stop command device is not mandatory for our door systems, which of course comply with the latest state of the art.
